Unlocking Hidden Mind Power - How to Unleash Your Mind’s Amazing Power

By Michael Lee

Our mind is a complex mass, made up of components that may seem discrete, or different from each other, but are actually connected. Unlocking your hidden mind power is a matter of learning how to enhance the connections between these areas in your mind. Unlocking your hidden mind power, contrary to the common impression, is not brain surgery. It is actually a simple process. All it takes is your willingness, and these three driving forces.

1) Identify what would be the “underlining paradigm” to your life. This would mean defining the reason why you will be working hard. This would be what would drive everything you do. Do keep in mind that without defining your paradigm, you would be like a newly beheaded chicken running around without a purpose.

Whatever paradigm you have designed for your life, it would be what you would go back to when tough times come. In life, there would be several setbacks. What would then keep you going when everything seems to be crumbling like brittle limestone in your hands? Your paradigm would keep you going.

Say for example, you aim to be a “man for others”. You would then build your life around helping people. If you choose to climb up the corporate ladder, then your moves would be defined by your paradigm of being a man for others. This means that despite deals being a little disadvantageous to you, you would choose to remain honest or committed because it is for the greater good, and it would help your fellow man. Then whatever you would do, when people approach you for help, despite being chin-deep in a deadline, you would take the time out to help, because you set in your mid to be a “man for others”.

Beyond Positive Thinking

by Jon Mercer

Making real changes in your life requires more than “positive thinking.” It requires “extreme repetition.” Affirmation programs can dramatically improve the process of change by “submerging” the user in a sea of relentless, positive information.
As a personal development coach, I do a lot of talking about positive thinking, and I know very well how important it is in changing your habitual way of thinking (and the results you are getting in life). But real change requires more than positive thinking. It requires “extreme repetition.”

I’ve spoken before about going ‘beyond positive thinking” and many people have emailed to ask about the best methods of staying in a positive state of mind, and how they can best help the process along.

One method that is very effective is to use affirmation programs that shift your state of mind and provide you with massive amounts of positive suggestion and commands. These definitely make a difference–I’ve used one for over two years now with great results.

Positive Thinking Phrases – Affirmative Phrases to Boost Your Optimism

Let’s face it. We all want a little credit, even just the tiniest bit of recognition for a new haircut, a fetching sartorial ensemble, or a job well done. But when compliments are lacking, or words of encouragement nonexistent, then positive thinking phrases are the next best thing. Use positive thinking phrases like the ones below and give yourself a friendly pat on the back.

Positive thinking phrases, or positive affirmations, are like mantras you repeat over and over to yourself. Hopefully, by some mystifying subliminal process, the power of these words will be able to condition you to positively influence your way of thinking and as a result, your way of living.

Here are some examples:

Phrase #1: Hey, Gorgeous!

Admit it. Getting complimented for your looks is a wondrous tonic for the ego. So get out of bed, face the mirror and give your ego a boost. Nothing beats a greeting like that first thing in the morning to get you revved up for the stress of the day ahead.

Don’t worry about sounding a bit vain or conceited, as long as you do it in private and out of anyone’s earshot. And when you feel good inside, it’ll reflect on your outer person, making you even more attractive. It won’t be long before others will notice and compliment you as well.

Phrase #2: Yes, I can!

Another variant of this is, “Ain’t nothin’ to it but to do it,” as mentioned in the show, Hey Arnold, on Nickelodeon. In order to accomplish something, you must first believe in your heart that you are fully capable of success.

You’ll find that it’s usually the hardest part of any endeavor—mustering enough courage. Without this belief in yourself, you can get easily discouraged and prone to quitting. Have faith. Remember, the only thing that can stop you is yourself.

Directing Your Thoughts

Know that once you put your mind to anything - It Is Possible! This does require actually Visualizing, Focusing and Applying (ones self) on whatever you truly desire. (Otherwise, you truly don’t want it or are not willing to stay focused and apply yourself). Even though you can bring about the riches you want in your life from this formless thinking substance (which runs throughout our universe), it is not always going to happen right away.

This takes practice and patience with ones self, but can be accomplished by forming a clear mental image in your minds eye and holding it with unwavering faith that it will come to fruition. Once you have that clear mental image then hold on to it and do not think or speak of it without feeling confident that it is already Yours! Remember, the thinking substance is in everything; while communicating with everything– and able to influence everything.

Yes, we all have downward times, but these can be released by knowing that these are temporary circumstances that will change and drastically improve. There are good times ahead, so think about them! Know that whatever you focus your energy on, you will bring about in your life. You must also be in “vibrational harmony” (one of the Seven Laws of the Universe), feeling good with what you desire for that desire to manifest. Your thoughts control your vibration– which can and will dictate what your are actively Attracting, because the Law of Attraction is Always in effect.

Words of wisdom from a middle aged guy

It’s been awhile, and I’ve been under the weather a bit. I don’t really have a column type blog today, just some simple observations that have revealed themselves as I continue my journey into “Middle-Aged Wisdom”. I hope you, the reader, find some value from the following. I’ve learned these lessons through my journey so far, and hope that I’ll be around long enough to post my “Old Age Wisdom.”

1. True friendship is a rare and fleeting thing. You’ll never know who your friends are until you’re in a bind. A friend will give you the helping hand required to get back on your feet. True friendships have been tested and tempered by the passage of time and crisis. Each milestone strengthens the bond between two people.

2. There are no “Mulligans” in life. For those of you who don’t follow golf; a Mulligan is a do over; Bill Clinton was famous for these on the golf course. Here’s the bottom line. Live your life the way you want to. Do and experience as much as you can in your life. There is only one go around, so make your choices carefully and live them heartily. Don’t waste too much time mulling over mistakes. Learn from them but don’t fret over them. The road to wisdom is paved with misjudgment.
